ABOUT ASHTON HURST

Ashton Hurst were founded in 2013 by Managing Director Geoff Blackburn to provide design and consultancy services within the Power Industry.

Geoff started his career in 1993 as an apprentice electrician. After working up to become a fully qualified electrician, he moved into the design realm and spent several years in the Building Services sector where he was instrumental in delivering the building services design for several large scale projects including University College London Hospital and Highbury Cosham College in Portsmouth.

He then moved into the power generation sector designing and deliveing multi large scale power generation and subsstaion plants including a new 15MW 11kV combined Gas/Diesel Energy Centre for a new production facility for Proctor & Gamble in Lagos Nigeria.

Geoff is a Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from the University of Bath and is a member of the IET.
